St Georges Park

Crown Road, Great Yarmouth

St George’s Park in Great Yarmouth underwent a £2m refurbishment scheme in 2008 which included improved lighting and security, new play equipment, seating and bins, resurfacing of footways, new planting and included improvements to Trafalgar Road.

The centre piece is a wooden carved sculpture of St George slaying the dragon which was mastered by Mark Goldsworthy, a Woodcarver from Bungay and this is sited behind the new play area. In addition to this there are three entrance features which were created by Norfolk Blacksmiths that feature aspects of our maritime Borough.
